SAN MATEO, California — Chayan, known in China as Chayanyuese, will make its first U.S. exhibition appearance at the 2026 USA Asian Culture and Food Expo, taking place August 15–16 at the San Mateo County Event Center in the United States.
Founded in 2013, Chayan has grown from a small neighborhood tea shop into a widely recognized modern tea and lifestyle brand, with nearly 1,000 directly operated stores and more than 10,000 team members. Known for combining traditional Chinese tea culture with contemporary craftsmanship, design, and everyday experiences, the brand has become a distinctive presence among a new generation of Chinese consumers.
Following its U.S. e-commerce launch in July 2025, Chayan will bring its first wave of retail tea products developed for American consumers to the expo. The appearance marks the brand’s first opportunity to present the collection in person and connect directly with consumers and food-industry professionals across the United States.
A Modern Expression of Chinese Tea Culture
Chayan approaches tea as both a cultural tradition and a natural part of modern daily life.
Rather than limiting tea to formal ceremonies or traditional preparation, the brand explores new ways to translate familiar Chinese tea flavors into approachable formats for contemporary consumers.
Its expo collection will include the Modern Matcha Concentrate, a six-flavor DIY Tea Concentrate Kit Collection, and a selection of organic tea bags. The tea concentrate line will make its U.S. market debut at the event.
Designed for flexible preparation at home, the concentrates reflect Chayan’s effort to make tea more accessible without losing the aroma, character, and cultural roots that give each tea its identity. The organic tea bag collection offers another familiar format through which American consumers can discover a broader range of tea experiences.
From E-Commerce to an In-Person U.S. Debut
Since entering the U.S. market in 2025, Chayan has introduced its retail tea products to American consumers primarily through e-commerce.
Its participation in the 2026 USA Asian Culture and Food Expo marks the brand’s first U.S. exhibition appearance and the first in-person presentation of its U.S.-focused retail collection.
“The 2026 USA Asian Culture and Food Expo gives us an opportunity to better understand overseas consumer preferences and strengthen our connection with the U.S. market as we continue to expand our international retail business,” said a spokesperson for Chayan.
